Asiatique Riverfront Bangkok is a combination of a night bazaar and a mall – two of the most popular shopping destinations in the city. Only 10 minutes away from Saphan Taksin BTS sky train station, Asiatique Riverfront Bangkok, consists over 1,500 shops and 40 restaurants, under a huge replica warehouse complex. You can have fun spending time here from around 5pm to midnight. Tourists and locals will usually enjoy browsing the shops, buying gifts for friends, family, or yourself. You will definitely find some delicious food for you to enjoy as well. And for more of entertainment purposes, there are nightly performance including Calypso cabaret and a classic Thai puppets performance in the near future.
The best way to get there is probably via boat. From this Sukhumvit Hotel, you can take the BTS to Saphan Taksin and take the free shuttle by the pier. It will only take around ten minutes. The last boat will run until 11pm. As the traffic can get very heavy in this area, taxis are not recommended. When you step off from the boat, there will be a 300-metre long boardwalk which the view can be quite romantic during sunset. Asiatique provides great props for taking photos such as a reproduction of tram car, anchors and a push cart. You will also find wide streets which run between each warehouse. The early 20th century looking decorations are very well planned, clean and spacious although some may feel a little bit overdone.
The Chareonkrung District consists is over 1,000 small shops in four different warehouses selling souvenirs, gifts, handicrafts, jewellery, clothing, and much more. Similarly to Chatuchak and MBK, there is a wide range of products from fashionable Thai brands to affordable items and merchandises on offer as well.
