Another popular temple in Thailand is Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan, or Sothorn Temple. It is located in the town centre of Mueang Chachoengsao by the Bang Pakong River in Chachoengsao Province.
The temple is around 70 kilometres from Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok. It was originally called ‘Wat Hong’ and was established around 18th century – during the late Ayutthaya period. Inside the temple, you will find Phra Phutthasothon, or “Luang Pho Sothorn.” This is considered one of the most respected Buddha images in Thailand.
Wat Sothon is another highly recommended attraction that you really should visit especially if you are planing a trip to Pattaya from Bangkok.
